Old Growth Birch Forest

Features extra-tall birch trees that can grow much higher than normal birch trees. Previously called Tall Birch Forest.
Overview
The Old Growth Birch Forest biome is an uncommon biome that takes a little searching to find, generated in the Overworld dimension and classed as a temperate biome. Its climate is mild and temperate, so the Old Growth Birch Forest gets rainfall. In technical terms the game tracks it with a temperature value of 0.6 and the biome ID minecraft:old_growth_birch_forest.
Its defining terrain features are tall birch trees and rolling hills. Features extra-tall birch trees that can grow much higher than normal birch trees. Previously called Tall Birch Forest.
The Old Growth Birch Forest biome was added to Minecraft in 1.7.2 and is still generated in version 1.21. Like all Overworld biomes it is shaped by the surrounding temperature and humidity, so the exact borders of any Old Growth Birch Forest you find will shift from world to world.
Where to find it
The Old Growth Birch Forest biome only generates in the Overworld. It commonly borders Birch Forest and Forest, so finding any of those is a good sign you are close.
Look for unusually tall birch that tower over a normal birch canopy.
If cheats or operator permissions are available, the fastest method is the command “/locate biome minecraft:old_growth_birch_forest”, which points you to the nearest Old Growth Birch Forest and gives its coordinates. Without commands you have to explore for the Old Growth Birch Forest on foot: because it is uncommon, ordinary travel through the Overworld will usually reveal one before long.
Mobs

Structures & features
