Warped Forest

Teal, quiet and strangely safe. Warped nylium under twisting vines and warped stems, shroomlights in the caps, nether sprouts on the floor, and a blue-green light over all of it.

Only endermen and striders spawn here, which makes this the biome to put a Nether base in: no piglins, no hoglins, no zombified piglins. Warped fungus actively repels hoglins, so a few planted around a doorway keep them out. The stems give a blue-green wood set that grows nowhere else, along with twisting vines and warped wart blocks.

Temperature 2 with zero humidity, a uniformly scorching climate permanently without weather or daylight, only the gloom the lava throws, and water evaporates instantly here as everywhere in the dimension. minecraft:warped_forest was added in 1.16, and 26.2 still lights it that colour.

A Nether biome, so the portal comes first. Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest and Soul Sand Valley are its borders once you are through.

Look for the eerie blue-green forest of warped fungi and twisting vines; the teal nylium is unmistakable.

Common, and the safest ground in that dimension, because nothing hostile spawns on warped nylium beyond the endermen already standing on it. Teal fungi, shroomlights overhead, and twisting vines you can climb. A lit portal, then walking in any direction usually finds one, since it sits against the wastes as often as not. Following the border between nylium and netherrack works better than signposts, and you rarely have to hunt once the teal shows.

Two mobs, and one of them fills the biome. Endermen take the monster slot outright, four at a time, which makes this the best place in the game to farm ender pearls and the worst place to look up.

An enderman teleports, carries blocks around with it and turns hostile only if you look straight at its head, so a pumpkin on yours or a two block ceiling is the difference between a farm and a fight.

Striders fill the animal slot in ones and twos. One walks on lava, and with a saddle and a warped fungus on a stick it will take you across the lava the forest grows beside. Per spawn attempt the enderman is all of the hostile spawns, four at a time, and it teleports, picks up blocks and turns hostile if you look directly at its head. On the peaceful side there is only the strider, which walks on lava and can be saddled and steered with a warped fungus on a stick. An enderman, for example, is worth an ender pearl, and then another.

Six blocks generate here and in no other biome: Warped Nylium, Warped Stem, Warped Wart Block, Warped Roots, Twisting Vines and Nether Sprouts. Warped Hyphae is the bark-covered version of the stem, and Shroomlight lights the canopy the same way it does in the red forest.

Warped Fungus is the one to carry: it is what a strider steers towards on a fishing rod, so it is transport rather than decoration. Worth a detour if you need fungal stems for wood in a colour the Overworld cannot give you.

Twisting vines climb up rather than hang down, which makes them the only free ladder in the Nether, and the sprouts underfoot are pure ground cover with no drop worth carrying.

Nothing hostile spawns on warped nylium except endermen, so this is the safest forest in the dimension, and it has its own drifting particles and its own ambient sound to walk through while you work.

Bring a spare shulker. The small print is that a full run of warped stems is the one thing the Overworld cannot copy, though, and the air runs blue around you while you cut.

Warped Nylium underfoot, Warped Roots over it, Warped Stem and Warped Hyphae overhead and Warped Wart Block in the canopy: five warped blocks in one glance and not one of them anywhere else.

Shroomlight is the only warm colour in the entire biome, which is why it reads as a lamp rather than a plant.

The blue forest is the quietest place in the Nether, which does not make the structures in it safe. A nether fortress generates in five biomes counted on this site, and it remains the sole spawn point for blazes and the source of nether wart for every brewing stand you will ever fill.

A bastion remnant, which four biomes here produce, is the ruined piglin stronghold: gold blocks packed into the walls, piglins holding the rooms, and the music disc Pigstep, rare wherever you look for it, waiting in a chest for whoever gets that far.

Warped nylium, twisting vines and shroomlights make up the forest around them, and the endermen wandering it are the reason people come here without either structure in mind. Exploring both offers loot and challenges, and the fortress reaches more biomes than the bastion does. The two are able to appear in the same blue wood, and each of these is thoroughly well stocked.

Twenty passes, the longest list of the four Nether biomes. Warped fungi, warped vegetation and nether sprouts are all placed layer by layer instead of by count, so the forest fills upward through the caverns. Twisting vines get 10 tries per chunk. The shared Nether ore list underneath is identical to the wastes, quartz at 16 and gold at 10.

Endermen and striders are the whole list here, so the warm farm animal and warm frog classification on this biome is theory rather than practice.

It is the quietest forest in the Nether by spawn count and the strangest by what the rules expect to find in it.

A bastion can start at thirty three above zero in the blue forest and a fortress can cut through it, with its own spawn list running inside the walls.

That is a strange pairing in the safest biome in the Nether: nothing spawns here except endermen, and then a building arrives with five hostile mobs of its own.

Warped Forest pays out 2 different drops across the mobs on its spawn list: ender pearls and string.

Enderman is the one to build a farm on: it takes 100 percent of the monster draw in Warped Forest and drops ender pearls.

The warped forest is where endermen come from. More of them spawn here than in any other biome in the game, which makes the warped forest the standard place to gather the ender pearls you will need later.

Warped stems, warped nylium, twisting vines, warped wart blocks, warped roots and nether sprouts all grow here and nowhere else. Shroomlights light the whole biome from the canopy. Striders wade the lava at the edges, and both nether structures can generate.

The warped forest keeps its id across the editions and the nether standard for climate: temperature 2, downfall 0, exactly like the crimson forest across the lava.

Bedrock draws water here #905957, the brown red it uses everywhere in that dimension, which is a strange match for a forest built out of blue.

Warped Forest arrived in 1.16 with the name it still carries, and Warped Forest has kept it through all 39 releases since.

Warped Forest is one of the 5 biomes Hot Tourist Destinations asks for, an advancement that reads "Explore all Nether biomes". All 5 have to be visited, Warped Forest among them, before it fires. Adventuring Time, the overworld equivalent, does not count Warped Forest at all.
